Olivia & Maurice

On a late-summer weekend, more than one hundred close family and friends traveled from around the world to Mackinac Island, Michigan. Known for its horse-drawn carriages, historic charm, and sweeping views of Lake Huron, the island also holds personal meaning for the bride—her parents had met there years earlier after the Chicago-to-Mackinac sailing race. For Olivia and Maurice, it felt like a natural place to begin their own story.

The celebration took place over several days, starting with a golf outing and welcome party, followed by a ceremony at The Inn at Stonecliffe. Olivia arrived by horse-drawn carriage with her father, stepping into a ceremony framed by sculptural florals. Afterward, a second line band led guests across the estate grounds and onto the lawn overlooking the water between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Cocktails followed with live jazz and sweeping views.

The evening continued with a tented reception filled with candlelight and thoughtful details woven throughout the design. As stars appeared through the tent canopy and the Mackinac Bridge lit up, the entire celebration reflected what the couple envisioned: a wedding that was not just beautiful, but truly unforgettable.
