Chanel & Sheldon

Chanel and Sheldon designed every detail of their wedding weekend themselves, beginning with a welcome party that set the tone for the celebration. The weekend took place at the Kimpton Hotel Allegro in Chicago, chosen for its central location and elegance, and they were married on a Friday in front of 125 friends and family, making it the biggest “date night” of all.

Chanel, a digital creator (you can follow her @buymechanel), brought a fashion-forward eye to the weekend. Her wedding gown was a full-lace Pronovias design with long sleeves and a dramatic train from Designer Loft Boutique in NYC. She later changed into a lace jumpsuit by Nadine Merabi for the reception—her favorite look—and incorporated pantsuit elements at the rehearsal dinner.

Sheldon kept his style classic yet distinctive with a custom ivory dinner jacket and navy tux pants from Articles of Style, paired with black leather oxfords from Christian Louboutin. For the reception, he swapped the bowtie for a pair of Christian Louboutin Louis Orlato sequins sneakers.

The reception was designed like an elegant dinner party, with king-style tables surrounding the dance floor. The décor featured pops of navy, fuchsia, ivory, and gold, with candlelight adding a warm glow. Each guest received a thank-you note instead of a menu, adorned with a eucalyptus leaf, reflecting how important their support was to the couple.

The portraits captured during the welcome party offer a glimpse of the weekend’s energy and design—a wedding later featured in Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.
